Aashish Shaju

Aashish Shaju is a graduate research assistant at CVeSS working towards his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. His academic and research focus revolves around dynamics and control Engineering mixed with autonomy.

Driven by an unwavering passion for the automotive industry along with an optimistic vision of a fully autonomous transportation system, he has chosen "Platooning of long combination vehicles (LCVs)" as his Ph.D. research topic. His current research primarily focuses on the development of both longitudinal and lateral control algorithms for the following vehicle in an automated platoon of LCVs (Long combination vehicles).

In addition to his academic commitments, he finds solace and enjoyment in hiking adventures, unraveling complex puzzles (with a special affinity for the Rubik's cube), and indulging in the exhilarating world of Formula One races.
