Quinlan Bennett
Quinlan Bennett is an undergrad volunteer at CVeSS, who joined as a rising junior summer 2023. He plans to graduate with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering in 2025 and hopes to enter the Masters Program at Virginia Tech. So far, Quinlan has been helping with the Energy Harvesting Tie (EHT) project and lighting & cameras for the Roller Rig. When not at the lab, Quinlan enjoys painting, hiking, and playing the banjo.

Congratulations to Dr. Ahmadian for being named the J. B. Jones Chair of Mechanical Engineering by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors!
Railway Technologies Laboratory (RTL) recently received a project from the Association of American Railroads to develop a new generation of Doppler Lidar equipment for track stability evaluation. The project starts from July 2020 and is expected to continue for multiple years.
